PRO-BIO is the only national association of the organic farmers, organic food processors and producers, advisors and supporters of OF. PRO-BIO operates in many areas, all of which have a major common goal - the development of organic farming and organic food production in the Czech Republic. Headquarters is located in North Moravia Šumperk with branches throughout the Czech Republic. The mission of the PRO-BIO is to promote organic farming in the Czech Republic in both the intensive and extensive areas. PRO-BIO in cooperation with leading European organic farming associations develops its own guidelines for the management and processing. Moreover, Association provides to its members information service, advisory, interest-free loans, organizes educational events, assists with sales and provides targeted promotion and advertising etc. PRO-BIO Association cooperates with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environment, partner organisations (bioland, bioaustria, gäa) and research institutes (www.fibl.org). PRO-BIO is registered as civic association (NGO) & issues an annual report.
