| Description | The Soil & Health Association is a membership-based organisation that has supported organic food, farming, and gardening in New Zealand since 1941. One of the oldest organic organisations in the world, it continues to champion its guiding principle: healthy soil, healthy food, healthy people. Soil & Health advocates for organic and regenerative production systems that work with nature and avoid synthetic fertilisers, pesticides, and genetic engineering. The Association promotes policies that protect soil health, biodiversity, waterways, ecosystems, and public health, while supporting the growth and development of organic and regenerative practices in New Zealand. Through education, community engagement, digital publications, events, campaigns, and policy advocacy, Soil & Health provides information and resources for growers, consumers, and decision-makers. It represents its members through submissions, public advocacy, and engagement with local and central government on issues affecting food systems, farming, environmental health, and the future of organic and regenerative agriculture in New Zealand. |
