Agrecol Afrique

Agrecol Afrique is an organization committed to promoting organic/ecological agriculture (OEA) and the social and solidarity economy (SSE) in Senegal and West Africa. Our activities are structured around several key areas:

• Information, awareness, and outreach through radio programs, publications, and discussion forums.
• Value chain development by supporting the creation of economic units focused on organic agriculture, training internal controllers, establishing a certification system for organic products, developing partnerships with the private sector and government structures, and facilitating market access.
• Participatory innovation development by identifying and promoting local innovations in OEA and SSE, organizing fairs, and integrating this approach into agricultural training.
• Training, advocacy, and lobbying with the creation of a rural institute dedicated to agroecology and organic agriculture, the development of training curricula, and advocacy efforts with public and private institutions.

We work in partnership with various stakeholders to promote a resilient and environmentally friendly agricultural system.
