Description
TOAF PGS Organic groups are established by collabolated from various stakholders (1) Set up project implementation structure and team comprising Land Development Department, Thai Organic Agriculture Foundation (TOAF) in collaboration with Department of Agriculture Extension and technical support from Office of Agriculture Economics, Rice Department, National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) among others. (2) Prepare training materials, documents and handbook for PGS. (3) Select target groups from organic farmers with high capability to implement PGS pilot program, conduct site visits to meet farmers and assess potentials. (4) Provide trainings which are divided into two curriculums, one for master farmers and coordinators and the other for PGS peer review process. (5) Assist, follow up and monitor PGS group forming process and peer review to ensure effectiveness for certification. (6) Launch TOAF PGS website for online registration process , data base and issueing certificate.
